Another W7RY Circuit Board for the Heathkit SB-220 series of linear amplifiers!
    A
    high quality
double sided with plated through holes, filter capacitor board that uses standard readily available 35-mm electrolytic capacitors for your Heathkit SB220, SB221 as well as the Heathkit HL-2000 linear amplifier. Maintains the original plastic capacitor mounting and bracket, but provides you a custom circuit board to use modern moderately priced snap in capacitors available from many sources.
There are locations for two bleeder resistors per capacitor, so you can use either one or two. I use 2ea 100K Ohm 3 watt resistors available from Mouser, Digikey or Farnell, or use what you happen to have on hand, as long as they are the same value.
The Mouser part number for the resistors that I use are
    ,
    594-5093NW100K0J
which are 100K (750 volt rating) and I use 2 per capacitor. With 50K Ohms across each capacitor, it provides moderately quick voltage bleed-down with minimal heat .
Use whichever value of 35mm diameter with 10mm lead spacing "snap-in" 450 volt capacitor. A 220 uF to 390 uF works just fine. Also choose either 85 degree or 105 degree temperature caps you would like too. Whatever fits your budget. Values are not critical. Heathkit used 200 uf in the original amplifier.
This auction is for a HIGH-QUALITY PC
    board only
    as shown.
This is not a kit. It is a bare circuit board only.
